We are delighted to be finalists again – 3 years running – in the 2018 Surrey Life Food & Drink Awards. Winners of this category and ‘Pub of the Year’ in 2016 and finalists in ‘Best Local Menu’ again last year we have everything crossed that we can regain the title at the awards presentation on September 13th.
Thanks to the excellent relationships we have with our local suppliers and producers you’ll find local and seasonal produce on our menus all year round, every day. Focusing on freshness our chefs are excited to work with local fish, meat, game, veg & cheese, producing delicious dishes on site.
Recognised for our support of local drink producers too, we are proud to serve Tillingbourne beer and wine from Albury Organic Vineyard, as well as 11 local gins (that’s out of the 46 gins currently on our shelves…!)
And testament to our love of local produce, Lee & Anneliese were married on 28th July at Polhawn Fort in Cornwall and what did they choose to serve at their wedding…? Hop Troll from Tillybeer, Albury Estate Silent Pool Rosé & Blanc de Blancs. The perfect accompaniments to outstanding fresh Cornish seafood, fish, meat and cheese. A beautiful day.
