Since taking over the Stephan Langton Inn in May 2015, owners Anneliese & Lee have been passionate about restoring the excellent reputation the Inn has enjoyed in previous years. Already double award-winners at the 2016 Surrey Life Food & Drink Awards, the Inn has also been named as the place to eat by The Sunday Times, with our focus on good quality local and traditional food and drink clearly being noticed. With major changes already made to the look and feel of the Inn and nominated by guests as ‘Dog-friendly Pub of the Year’ too (dogs are permitted in the snug & bar area, not in the restaurant), the Stephan Langton Inn has quickly risen through the ranks with guests and on TripAdvisor as a highly recommended Surrey country pub and restaurant.
Passionate about serving local ale, fine wine (supplied by local independent retailer The Vineyard) and freshly prepared seasonal produce, locally sourced wherever possible, the Inn prides itself on quality and consistency, from the kitchen to the table and on outstanding customer service.
Anneliese & Lee have already improved and freshened up the look and feel of the Inn and invested in new woodburners just for starters. Of course everything takes time, so please bear with us while we make our improvements.
Whether you are visiting for a light bite, special dinner, family lunch, corporate event or simply a cup of coffee and slice of homemade cake, you’re sure to find something on our menus that take your fancy and our team will be happy to welcome you – with smiles guaranteed.
Then of course there’s the history of Stephan Langton and his place in Surrey Folklore and his role in the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215. Just ask Anneliese for a quick historical tour when you visit…
